I suffer from insomnia and sometimes i'll be laying in bed for hours and haven't slept at all. So Friday morning my alarm went off at 2 am for my race and it woke me and while hearing the alarm that early is very annoying I was grateful because the fact that it woke me up meant I actually slept which was something I was worried I wasn't going to do when I went to bed the night before.
Yeah i'm annoyed that my shoulder is still not 100% better and it means I cant weightlift and train and do a lot of the activities I want to. But the fact that I can take my wallet out of my back pocket and get dressed (both of which were really hard to do when I first injured it) means it is getting better it's just taking longer then I want.
this just something that was on my mind and thought I'd share

Sleep is a precious commodity, especially when you can't find it.
And it is always good to see progress in a recovery.
Good luck on the rest of the way.

Dude, I think that's great to have that kind of gratitude. We are living these comparitively "fairy tale" lives in the West and yet gratitude is something we (or at least I) sorely lack. If memory serves, some Jewish traditions even had a specific prayer to thank Yahweh for a good bowel movement! Not a bad thing to practice!

Thanks for sharing and exemplifying gratitude with us, Rickster.

And thank you Jesus for the small things that seem really large to us!
