Started listening to Christmas music and ran into Amy Grant's "Grown Up Christmas List". Got me thinking of something both fun and meaningful we could possibly do here.
I'd be interested in getting two "Grown-Up Christmas Lists" from you, each five items long. The FIRST is a list of material things: Entertainment items, practical items or other comforts/pleasures that can be obtained financially. The SECOND is a list of immaterial things that can NOT be acquired in any way financially. To kick things off, mine would be:

LIST A (from the list I've provided my wife)

    1. Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag on PS4
    2. Harkin's Theater Cup & Popcorn Perks Program Membership
    3. Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords Deck 6 - Spires of Xin-Shalast Adventure Deck
    4. Logan Blu Ray
    5. Amazon/Playstation Store Gift Card

    LIST B

    1. A greater capacity to die to my own selfish desires and love my wife & boys better
    2. A few old friends of mine to return to Jesus
    3. Better relationships with a couple of people
    4. A renewed and longer lasting confidence in my identity in Christ
    5. More date time with Holly

    LIST A
    1) Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson (showed it to my wife the other day. She said, "Wow, that's a big brick")
    2) An office (we're actually looking at houses because we've outgrown our 2 bedroom cottage. Essentials are separate bedrooms for the kids, and a place for me to work/write. Then we can have our dining table back)

    4) White Sands graphic novel by Brandon Sanderson
    5) Spiderman Homecoming (because I haven't seen it yet)

    LIST B
    1) A greater appreciation for what it feels like to live in my son's shoes.
    2) Greater patience and wisdom in knowing how to deal with my children (both for my son's special needs, and my daughter on the verge of adolescence)
    3) A greater passion for God's word
    4) Greater ability to manage my time, organising relationships (with God & humans), work, writing, housework, exercise etc.
    5) Creative inspiration to write works of genius LOL
