Who are you really?

Remember that thing on Facebook a while back where everybody was posting pictures of famous people that they look like or that people think they look like?

ME NEITHER!!!

So lets do that again, only we will use fictional sci-fi/fantasy characters!

Hhmm...maybe. I always thought it was weird that I have six arms and everyone else has two.

I don't think that's weird now if your extra arms talk to you and make you want to distroy new York that might be a tiny bit weird

These are my usual suspects, depending on who is most popular at the time.

I still don't get the guy from The Office, but I get it all the time from High School kids when I'm subbing.

As for the other two, I think there just aren't that many dishwater blondes in Hollywood, so these are the guys I get compared to.

Holly (my wife) gets compared often to...



People are right to do so, and yes... that makes me a very lucky man.

Well, along the lines of what kids tell me when I substitute teach, I've been pinned down as one of two things:

I've been told I look like Harry Potter, grown up (glasses, messy dark hair, and yes, I even have something of a jagged scar at the center of my forehead).

More generically, I had a class tell me that I look like a Superhero's secret identity (I guess their thinking along the lines of Peter Parker or Clark Kent).

When I was a kid I use to think I look like Elliot from E.T. now I tell people I think I look like Jabba The Hutt

When Tombraider hit the theatres, some people compared me to Lara Croft; someone even started calling me Lara instead of Katja



Of course, this was about 10 years ago, so needless to say the comparison is no longer even remotely valid (with gravity having taken its toll and all that ) - except for Lara's dark braid there: I wear my hair in a slightly longer braid almost every day to this day.

Hmmm... Santa Claus? I have a round head, am chubby, have rosy cheeks, a full beard with some grey in it, and I laugh a lot (Ho! Ho! Ho!)

A friend at college said I looked like Jim Carrey.

Holy crap, that's crazy! I've never seen a real picture of you but your avatar definitely could be related to the Farley family!

The artist, Jeff Slemons, has also painted the covers to my ArmorQuest novellas. He's an amazing artist -- that caricature looks almost exactly like me.

Fixed it. I don't think you did anything wrong; my guess is that it was just the funky URL pointing to the IMDb pic. I changed it to the "Host an image" option and that worked.

The only actor I think I've been compared to isn't even an actor. It's the Priest from Princess Bride.

Ah, I didn't see that "Host an image" option. I'll give it a shot next time. Thanks so much, Whiteboy!
