Old cartoons

Speaking of old superhero cartoons (in another thread)...I gotta share this. We rent Scooby Doo DVD's for the kids all the time because they love Scooby Doo (and rightfully so). Well we got one or two in that are of the Scooby Doo/Dyno Mutt hour where it has one episode of Scooby and one of Blue Falcon/Dyno Mutt. Sorry, I have a pretty silly sense of humor, but DynoMutt is a little over the top for me. Anyway, the kids love it and have been going around pretending they're Blue Falcon, etc...it's pretty funny to watch them.

Anyone remember these cartoons?

Blue Falcon rocks! Can't remember why, but he was the bomb. Thought that dog was always taking up space, though.

Oh, yeah...sometimes he's called Wonder Dog, too. Dunno why I felt compelled to add that. /shrug

But do you remember the Flash Gordon cartoon or Jana of the Jungle?

Flash Gordon yes. Jana umm no. I must've missed that one. How many of you all remember the Star Trek Cartoon?

I watched a few episodes of this again recently on late night boomerang. Loved it as a kid and I think it's a property ripe for an update with a serious tone. A comic book or dark toned animated movie would be the bomb.

I'm not sure if G-Force was the same as Battle of the Planets. I think Whiteboy said it was. It was also called Gatchaman.

DuckTales and Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers were the Cartoons i watched as a kid.

Was the Star Trek cartoon really that bad? I’ve always wanted to watch it but never got around to checking it out. As a Star Trek fan I must watch all of Star Trek, no matter how painful it gets. Right?

The Star Trek cartoon was actually pretty good. Like most cartoons, it was a victim of limited animation. As an example, I remember one episode where Uhura is running, but her arms are held tight to her side.

Let's get esoteric, does anyone remeber th Kids Super Power Hour with Shazam?

yep. Wish I could find em on DVD. What about an obscure one...Big Foot and Wild Boy?

How about Dr Shrinker?

I've not heard of Big Foot and Wild Boy or Dr. Shrinker. Hitting Netflix now...

While you're at it, lok for ElactroWoman and DynaGirl. Boy, the seventies were a messed up type of interesting.

No hits for any of those on Netflix.

There are some bits and pieces on youtube.

Not much love for the Star Trek animated show? And I thought it was up for an award at one point (a positive award, not razzie type). I remember Thundarr. I also remember another show called Galtar and the Golden Lance, which I still think has a pretty dramatic opening title sequence.

No one's mentioned some of the great classics of the 80's? G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats? Robotech, Voltron?
