Now Convening the High Council of Geeks

Paeter and I have something interesting planned, and we need your help!
We want to assemble a sort of council of geeks from different franchises/interests and have (what I hope will be the first in a line of) an online, round-table discussion. This topic would be "The Soul/Spirit and What Our Geekery Says About It...Good and Bad"
I will be representing Star Trek. Offscreen Kim says that she will represent Lord of the Rings. Paeter will probably represent Farscape and/or The Matrix. We need more...more...MORE...

...MMMMMMOOOOOOOOORE!

For now, all we need is to know who would be willing to represent a section of geekery for this. Times and logistics will be handled eventually, but Paeter needs to know how many want in on this. If you think you'd be up for it (it'll probably be assembled via Google Hangouts), just Reply.

And in case this wasn't clear, the plan is to record this for use on both the youtube channel and podcast. You can choose not to appear on video if you like(as is the case for Offscreen Kim for example), but don't sign on if you don't want to be part of a potentially unedited audio recording for potential use all over the interwebs.

Hmm. Star trek is already taken, but maybe I could offer some thoughts on Babylon 5. Scheduling would be a challenge, but it could be interesting...

I might be interested. My work schedule -- well, i've already posted about that, but i'm free weekends.

I'm pretty knowledgeable about Brandon Sanderson and his Cosmere.

Not sure if there is a "market" for it or not, but I could certainly do Max Headroom.

I'm also a fan of Silent Films (particularly the German Expressionist films Metropolis, Caligari, Nosferatu, Der Golem, etc.), Pulp heroes like The Shadow and Doc Savage, Weird Westerns (especially The Wild, Wild West [TV show, not the movies]), and so forth.

My geek interests are broad, if not spectacularly deep in any one area.

I've decided we need a Shakespeare Geek and Ye Olde Curmudgeon.
I can handle that.

Sounds good to me! The Pulp stuff might be especially unique!

I know that anime and manga are huge subjects, and I'll not pretend to be an expert on them, but if want someone with some knowledge of them, I can throw in my two cents worth.
