Red Dwarf on the CGC blog

I'm just gonna throw this one out there, even though I've been really slacking at my promise to Paeter to put some Classic Dr Who reviews up on the CGC blog...

Are there enough people who like (or at least are aware of) Red Dwarf for me to put my Re-Dwarf blogs up there, rather than let them languish on my website?

Either way, I'll get back to the Classic Who soon, honest...

I'd be interested. I've seen plenty (though not all) of Red Dwarf.

It's comedy Paeter, I didn't expect it to be your thing... although maybe British humour would appeal to you?

Read the opening post. Fascinating.

My exposure to Red Dwarf consisted of inconsistent episodes of the TV show. I never really followed the story on the show, but I enjoyed the off-beat British humor at the time. What I really liked was the novels (novelizations?) "Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers" and "Better Than Life".

I found the books darkly intriguing and nihilistic, especially IWCD. I've not revisited them since, and I'll be interested to see how the show develops themes like you describe - themes that are absent from the novels.
