    Hey Folks,

This isn't technically about SBP "Audio Drama" so I thought I'd post it here.

    Two quick questions:

    1. Would anyone care if I ditched the Odiogo widget on the blog? That's the thing that allows you to play and listen to an artificial voice read the post for you. It slows down the load time a bit, so I was thinking of ditching it. But I won't if someone is finding it useful.

    2. Do any of you find yourselves closing out your browser after downloading something from the "Free Stuff" page to turn off the sound of the ambient hum on the website? I'm not sure if we can get it turned off for just that page, but it occurred to me that if you download audio content from that page, the hum might make it difficult to listen to. Any opinions on that?

    Thanks!

    1. Ditch the widget.
    2. Hum? I normally have the sound turned off on my computer. Downloaded files get shuffled to my iPod for listening.

Yeah, the website plays the featured trailer on the homepage and has an ambient "sci-fi hum" (like you're on a star ship or something) on the other pages. There are also little bleeps and bloops when you pass your mouse over the links of the main navigation at the top of each page.

Everyone else think I should ditch the widget on the blog? Here's your chance to "save the Odiogo man!" The axe is raised and my arm is getting tired...

As far as I'm concerned let the axe fall. :p I tried it one time because I saw it there and just was like "/shrug I guess it's for the sight impaired." But as I think about it, if someone is sight-impaired they probably already have some software to read pages to them.

And personally the constant hum does wear thin the longer I stay on the site. Nothing major, but yeah.

The axe has dropped and Odiogo blood is everywhere.

But please, anyone, let me know if you'd ever like to see him back from the dead!
