With the release of "Cosmic Star Heroine" tomorrow (a game heavily inspired by Chrono Trigger), I'm reminded of how many people really love that game. I loved it also. Awesome combat system, rippling time travel effects producing numerous endings. Great stuff. But a single playthrough also felt short to me compared to Final Fantasy 3/6, which I had played just before it. (I started and finished the game in about a week over Christmas break.)
I get the sense that RPG fans of that era usually love both games, but one of them stands ahead of the others. Just thought I'd see where the CGC community stands on this one. Does one game rise above the other for you?
