New Ready Player One Trailer

Waaah??? Hogarth! He's alive!!! And he's in this movie! WOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

This trailer kinda fails to capture a lot of the awesomeness of the story, but I guess it's just a teaser, giving a little setting.

DELOREAN! This might be the closest we'll ever get to a Back To The Future IV.

I'm wondering if the movie will include the little anti-theism rant from the start of the book. The author almost lost me at that point, but redeemed himself by portraying a very sympathetic minor Christian character at the same time.

Making this movie will be a licensing nightmare, but I hope they can manage to include all the good stuff.

It's from the main character (Wade). But it reflects Cline's personal view on religion. This is from his bio:

Every Sunday morning boy is dressed in ill-fitting monkey suit and forced to attend primitive Judeo-Christian rituals centered around shame and remorse. Scars never fully heal.

I think I've been waiting for this one for about a year... Ready Player One is right up there on my list of 'Books I wish I had written'!

Interesting that, despite his insult of Christianity, he admits to an emotional association with his rejection of it, rather than trying to portray it as purely a logical issue.
