Just saw this last night! It's been on my calendar to hopefully review!

This looks fun! I just saw this article where the real chief of the Space Force said he wishes Bruce Willis played him.

I'll be honest...when I saw that it was "From the guys that brought you The Office," I was tempted to ignore it. The Office never appealed to me because I'm so bored with the mock-umentary style of film-making, especially on TV. But since you guys seemed interested, I decided to watch the trailer.

It does look funny! And it's not a mock-umentary. And it'll be on Netflix, so I won't have to buy tickets or anything. I'll probably give it a go, especially if someone (my mom) wants to watch it with me.

I decided to check this show out and ended up watching the entire 10 episodes over the last 2 or 3 nights. I guess the SpaceX launch got me in the mood for this.

I wasn't sure the humour in this show would appeal to me, but I found myself regularly laughing out loud. It's not slapstick, or Marvel humour. If anything, a lot of it is dark humour. And it's not just a comedy. The show has quite a lot of heart, with some really touching character stuff. I really enjoy the relationships that are developed between Steve Carell's character and his daughter, as well as with his scientific advisor. And it explores some meaningful moral issues. Taking a hard look at the realities of things like marital faithfulness when one partner is incarcerated in prison for a very long time.

And it ended up going into some mild sci-fi a lot sooner than I expected it would. And when I say sci-fi, I guess I mean real science that we're expecting to see implemented during this decade.

there's quite a lot of swearing in it, but if you can handle that, it's certainly worth checking out.
