Has anyone ever heard of the Save to Win account?
Welcome to Save To Win
Basically it's a CD that you open (with specific credit unions supporting it, I think it's only in michigan at the moment)
You earn interest on your money like a normal CD but at the end of each month there are various cash prizes.
Basically they're trying to turn a savings account into some type of lottery (except you can't lose money!)
So far I've been really good at paying bills and saving for short term goals but my long term savings account is toast. But maybe this will give me that extra oomph to actually save
What do you guys think?
Also this brings up a good moral question... is this gambling? I would say no since you're not losing money (except maybe a small percentage of your interest)
But also is there really anything specifcally against gambling in the bible? :
