Onlive

I saw an ad for this on Youtube It's a websiite where you can play current video games. I thought at first it might be something that could have been used for the summer of free but since only the app and a demo of the game is free then you have to pay to play the game I don't think it will count. But I stillt thought it was cool to share here is the link.

I have played around with this a little, though not a whole lot. There are some demos that are free, but I don't remember any totally free games there. I will try to remember to check when I get home tonight and report back for sure if no one else has done so.

Logged in tonight and confirmed that only demos are free. The concept of OnLive is pretty fascinating to me... no more high-end hardware requirements for video gaming. I was extremely skeptical when it was announced and even up until when I tried it. I have to say I'm pretty impressed with it. They have some cool options to be able to "rent" PC games, too. They really do have some high potential.

But still... no contender for the summer of free unfortunately.
