J have been planning on reading it. I just haven't found the time. I've heard alot of people say it answers alot of questions that are raised just by reading the KJV alone. Maybe I will read it soon.

There is a Christian audiodrama series that I highly suggest called "Father Gilbert" that brings up spiritual issues all the time. One episode in piticular deals with the concept of ghosts and whether they are real or demons or what. It is a very interesting and highly enjoyable listen. Once agian the show is called "Father Gilbert" and this peticular episode is called "The Grey Lady." This is my favorite audiodrama made for radio, and, if it wasn't for Spirit Blade (and SB:DR), it would be my favorite ever!
As for what I believe on the topic, I agree with what WhiteBoy said in his first comment. Though I do believe God let Samuel be contacted somehow by the which at Saul's command. (though I believe that was and isolated incident)

I am not convinced ghost are real. There just isn't any good evidence for their existence...

Personally I don't think they exist based on the evidence I've seen and with what the Bible says, specifically saying that after death comes judgment (Hebrews 9:27) and since it logically follows after judgement would be the condemnation or reward of said judgement that there shouldn't be human spirits wandering the earth after they're dead waiting to get their bones burnt (A Supernatural reference there for y'all) and what not.
That being said, once I'm face to face with the Creator, I won't be incredibly surprised if it's made known that there were such things as ghosts.
