Free Comic Book Day??

So I know nothing about comic books but I know some of you all like them. I figure you all know this then but didn't see it posted and thought I might as well. Sounds legit, I may give it a shot!

This is my favorite holiday!

In fact Free Comic Book Day 2006 was my second favorite day of my life (my marriage was the first!)

As a pastor I love this holiday because I have no responsibilities what-so-ever and can just enjoy the day!

Free Comic Book Day is always a big deal here. We have two shops that participate. One of them goes whole hog by having cosplay characters in the store and hosting creator meet and greets, a whole bunch of stuff.

Got something for this in my comic shop. I'm pretty excited, this will be my first free comic book day.

For being FREE comic book day I sure spent a lot...lol! I got a couple of Blue Beetle comic series and I got Cowboys and Aliens (the comic the movie was based on.) so I'm pretty excited!

Did you guys get anything extra? Or have you read any of the free ones yet?

Our shop gave out 2 per. Let the kids pick them out. They enjoyed it but were dissapointed they couldn't find out what happened in the story. I told them that was a marketing trick so you'd buy the next one.....they weren't too keen on the idea though. Kinda dissapointed that some were 2 diff books, but still cool for free. Kids would have blown their inheritance in there had I let them though!
