Last night I had my first recording session with Randy Hesson (Vincent Craft) for Spirit Blade 3. It went really well, although we won't be meeting again until January. In the meantime, I've given him the melody and lyrics for the song he will be singing, based on Mozart's Dies Irae and an old liturgical piece on the same theme. (The song will be called "Day Of Wrath" and will be very... "appropriate" for what Vincent is doing in that scene.)
My bro-in-law, who has been recording and mixing for ages and is both a fantastic musician and huge tech-geek, has just finalized the parts list for the PC he will be building me. I'm thrilled to say that with the help of listener purchases and donations, we are now financially ready to FINALLY replace the PC I've been mixing on for almost 10 years. (Yikes!)
In the midst of what has often felt like a frustratingly busy and unproductive fall season(regarding SB3 at least), these were two bits of wonderful progress in 24 hours that I just couldn't help but share.
That's all for now!
