Nothing New In Hollywood

Just posted a new entry on the apparent lack of creativity and new ideas coming from Hollywood

I think there is a lot of original content coming out of Hollywood, but I think it is often times overshadowed by the sequels and reboots, but that actually makes sense. You already have a fan-base and they want to hang out with these characters again, so those are the ones that make the big bucks. I admit, I watch more sequels and reboots than original movies, because I know the first one is good and I'm hoping the second will follow suit. But if you look at a list of all the movies that came out this year so far you will find that most are original. It's true, "nothing is new under the sun." There have been so many movies made that even original movies aren't super original anymore.

I also wish Pacific Rim was a hit, but it was a long shot.
