Winter of Free?

I just discovered this wonderful archive this morning. It appears that the Internet Archive (archive.com), now has a section called the Internet Arcade, where they have 900 of the classic arcade games running in your BROWSER!  I thought it was mildly interesting until I discovered that they have DEFENDER - which was my all-time favorite arcade game.

I love the Internet Archive.

Wow...

This made my jaw drop and then got me looking into IA to make sure they are legit, even though I've known and used them for years. (With my recent research into emulation I'm a bit gun shy with this kind of thing.) But it looks like its totally legit and the fact that the games only run in a browser gives me even more confident that this is on the up and up in terms of copyright permissions.

SOO cool. This may be the big item for Summer Of Free 2015! Thanks for pointing it out!
