Alien Arrival

Paeter! You discovered an Aussie sci-fi movie I didn't even know existed. (They're pretty rare).

I want to watch it simply because I like to support anything sci-fi made by the local industry (in hoping they'll make more and grow the industry to maturity over time).

I found the BluRay listed on JB HiFi under its original name Arrowhead. Incidentally, the Australian rating is M for Science Fiction Themes and Violence. (which is equivalent to American PG-13)

Incidentally, it seems that Dan More who plays Kye is an Israeli Australian - so no wonder you were confused by the accent. Probably a melding of the two. Looks like he's been in a few Aussie TV series.
