    Hey all,

    The EU has passed a law that will affect all of us if we have a blog or podcast. I just wanted to put this out there to give everyone a heads-up. I'm not sure if the policies for Forum Motion are affected but it's a good idea to stay abreast of this.

    It affects bloggers, podcasters, and those who run small forums like this one that collect data from EU citizens.

    If any one out there has any guidance, please share.

    Here are a few resources I found:

    Official GDPR site --> https://www.eugdpr.org/
    Blogger/podcaster info --> https://www.becomeablogger.com/26123/what-is-gdpr-how-it-affect-bloggers/

    The likelihood of your blog or podcast being reported is slim but please be aware of these changes. The simple act of logging an IP address or allowing comments on your blog falls under collecting data.

    Again, please share your thoughts and resources.

    I really need to look into this for my email list. Mailchimp does a lot of the heavy-lifting, but there's definitely stuff I'm gonna have to do myself. I've been putting it off.
    I really must put some time aside to deal with it.

    Ah crap, I hate this stuff. "Re-jigger your calendorf settings or go to jail."

    What's a calendorf? Did I even jigger in the first place?

    A quick search on blogger makes me think I'm okay there and that Google has made changes for me.
    My e-mail subscription thing is also very transparent and I don't (in fact can't) add people to it myself.

    I have no idea if I've ever "logged an IP address". So if this is the last post you read from me before my trial and sentencing, I want everyone to know how grateful I am to have been a small part of your lives.
