Just had a great moment in my quiet time this morning. One of those moments where you're praying about something that is on your mind a lot, and then you turn to the place you left off in your Bible reading and the new topic being started addresses what is on your mind. For me it happened in the Psalms today as I started a new one.
It's also a bit like those times when the sermon on Sunday is focused on the same issue you've been especially wrestling with in recent days.
My extremely skeptical and cautious heart used to just think of those as coincidence, or the natural result of their being overlap and broad application for many parts of scripture. But over the years with regular time in scripture and at a church that presents scripture itself each Sunday, I just can't chalk it up to those things anymore.
God speaks to me through his word and his people, and they are some of the moments I feel most loved and cared for by him. I hope you guys are increasingly experiencing that too!
