Kat Von D now a Christian

If you're not familiar with Kat von D, she's most known for her tattoo art. She was one of the stars of LA Ink and was involved with witchcraft and the occult.

Three weeks ago she posted a video of her baptism on Instagram.

Unfortunately, she's gotten some backlash online from Christians over it but she's taking a measured approach to her social media presence and being careful about presenting herself as a model of Christianity.

Wow, that's so cool! Except for the backlash part. Good grief. We've got our work cut out for us as Christians online, don't we?

I'd never heard of her until one or two of my subscriptions on YouTube started talking about her getting baptized.

A sinner has just repented and is publicly baptised in front of her friends from her former way of life, and instead of rejoicing along with the angels, Christian people's response is to criticise what she's wearing? That's what they take away from it?

I am speechless.

While I think that calling her choice of clothing "demonic" is silly, but if you have what you feel are legitimate concerns over something a new Christian is doing, the first step is to go to them personally and express your concerns. (Matthew 18). It's not a matter for keyboard warriors who don't know her.
