I realize there are some glaring holes in the selection of movie franchises. I went with the "geek classic" selection, and there are still some I would have liked to include (like the Karate Kid movies). Maybe we'll do a "horror" or "comedy" themed poll later.

Re: A whole day at the movies....
I saw the entire Nolan Batman trilogy back to back in theaters, which was AWESOME!! My theater also had an Avengers marathon which I didn't get to go to, so I voted Avengers.

I voted for Indy for one reason: it's the only series I don't already own every part of.

Yup, I'm a stalwart geek....Star Wars. Mostly because I really do love the universe there the most.

I went with Lord of the Rings. I like pretty much all the series listed, but if I had to watch the entire series and couldn't leave during certain movies (Final Frontier and Generations I'm looking at you), well the choice seems obvious to me.

Well, since The Matrix, The Terminator, and Alien movies were nowhere to be found, I went with LOTR... mostly because I've watched most of the Marvel movies at home with my son in the last 5 days.
(Prometheus on Blu-ray tomorrow! Get a mop! I just peed myself!)

If the Terminator films had been on there I might have went with that. I really love those movies!

I actually voted for LotR. My automatic response was to go for Star Wars, but as I thought about it I changed it to LotR. I got picky and your question said "You" meaning I was going to be watching it by myself. If it were with a group of friends, I probably would have chosen Star Wars.

Star Wars! Hoping by the way that I would have a say in the order I were to watch them, for then I'd do the order that we discussed a few topics ago, I believe it was IV, V, II, III, VI? With #I on the side? Something like that.

Re: A whole day at the movies....
After some time deciding, I went with the Star Wars films.
Since it was an entire day, I had to choose something with the most layers (and I'm still a purist when it comes to some of these films). Even without their silly edits, the Star Wars saga became a different set of movies when the prequel films were introduced.
