Paeter recently mentioned Let's Play videos (where a gamer records himself playing a video-game and commentates on the game as he plays) in a recent episode of the podcast. He said he didn't understand the appeal. I actually enjoy Let's Plays myself as long as the player/commentator is really good and funny. It is a mixture of interest in the game and how entertaining/informative the gamer is. I can totally understand not liking them though, I didn't think I would before I started watching them. Now I will watch them sometimes instead of going to Hulu or Netflix.
My favorite Let's Player is Markiplier. He is very over-the-top and loud in his humor, but he also takes time to talk about the qualities of the game. You should also know that he curses and can be crude at times.
