Well it wont be Batman vs Superman vs Captain America at the theater in 2016.
DC/WB blinked and moved their movie to march 25 2016.

Yet more reason to expect good things. They don't trust their own movie with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman?
Could we get rid of Zack Snyder and bring in Bruce Timm to do this from scratch?

When 2/3rds of the heroes haven't been on screen before, I wouldn't put it up against the Cap.

I like Zack Snyder's cinematography. He has a masterful command of visual presentation and on-screen pacing.

As for the steaming pile of crap that was all three Nolan Batman films and Man of Steel, I blame David Goyer (the writer).

I'm with you, though. I would love to see Bruce Timm do a feature-length live-action.

Didn't like the Nolan Batmans? Well that's a first, at least the first two. Lots of people (myself included) hated the third.

I was very excited about Batman Begins when it first came out and for a while after. Once the shiny wore off and I looked at the story and scripting, I was quickly disenchanted. Perversely, I remain optimistic about the new version of Batman. Hope springs eternal.

I thought the date change was great news. Maybe cap would blow them out of the water, maybe the reverse. I have no idea. But if both movies are good and one "beats" the other, the only ones who lose are consumers, since a bad box office can still kill a high quality franchise.

I want to see ALL good superhero movies do well, so we have a better chance of seeing those niche superhero characters onscreen someday. (ooh, c'moooooon Spectre!) So personally I like to see these kinds of movies spaced as far from each other as possible with the least amount of competition for them.

Oh I agree, but I think this speaks to how little faith DC has in its own franchise. Remember, they were the ones who moved into Cap's already-taken weekend.
I'm afraid that Dinky Catch-up Comics is going to spray their own franchise with lowest common denominator, whatever the loudest fans want, pandering trash instead of telling a great story.
If they don't, I'll be more than happy to say I was wrong, like with Guardians, but DC has not earned much benefit of the doubt with me.
    Time will tell.

I'd rather not see big superhero movies competing with each other since I have a very limited cinema-going budget. Still if it came down to a choice, I'd go see Batman vs Superman. I just re-watched Man of Steel the other night and was reminded just how much I adored it.

This is just seems like common sense to me. I mean no one wants to release their film against heavy competition, so one film moving makes sense and BatVSupe has the most to lose. I think BVS would have won the weekend, but both would lose money if they went through with it. DC needs as much support as possible, because they want to get a cinematic universe off the ground.
