Happy Towel Day, froods!

It kind of snuck up on me this year, so once again I have failed to adequately mark the event on my website, or introduce the CGC blog to the Hitchhikers Guide and various other works of Douglas Adams.

Still, at least I know where my towel is.

Oh THAT'S right, it's a Douglas Adams thing. Anyone want to educate me on why Doug thinks we should have a "towel day"?

Well, if you are hitchhiking across the galaxy, you need to rely on people letting you borrow things, and a frood who has a towel is someone who, obviously, has his ducks in a row, so people will be more likely to let you borrow things. Plus the whole 'a towel is really handy' thing.

Yeah, that's about as clear as I expected anything Douglas-Adams-inspired to be.
