Songs Done, Choosing Score, Run Time and Trailer Coming!

I've finished what I believe may be my final pass on all of the songs for "Spirit Blade: A World Of Shadows" and I'm now moving on to selecting the score for the project.

The first step of that process involved checking the run times for all scenes and deciding where track breaks would fall. Right now the project as a minimum run time of 3 hrs 26 minutes for the Legacy edition (no songs) and just under 4 hours for the Special Edition (includes songs). The Special Edition (version with songs) for Dark Ritual was about 3 hrs 10 minutes if memory serves, so this is a significant jump! But there's a lot of story to tell, both new stories to begin and end and older threads to bring to fruition and wrap up.

This is possibly my favorite part of the process, since I get to see more dramatic changes happen to the project over a much shorter period of time. It's also the phase where I most enjoy experiencing the story for myself. (By the time you guys get it it's lost a little of its impact from numerous test listens.)

Looking forward to the comings weeks and right now we're probably looking at a release around the first half of May! Stay tuned for a trailer, which should be coming in just a few more weeks!

I wish I had something more profound to say, but this (editing and scoring) is so outside my wheelhouse that I have no measure to go up against.

You're right though! That would have been an awesome release date! Should I put it off till next year?

Okey doke. Everyone who wanted it this year say thanks to Francisco. I had just finished re-organizing my calendar before reading this. Guess I'll release it this year after all. lol.
