Here's my Wonder Woman review. I've avoided reading or watching anyone else's thoughts until now.

Glad you liked it, Adam! And it looks like we both appreciated the same aspect about the humor!

    Nice job.
I'm also happy that DC got one right. I think it would be a shame if they tanked on the Superhero front.

    Good review.

I thought WW was a good movie, and fairly well enjoyed it. I agree about the WW I setting, it was a nice bit of a change. I can't think of many other movies set in that time.

Something I've been hearing is that the character of Wonder Woman isn't consistent, that there are too many convenient changes in her character to move the plot along.

Maybe someone more tuned in to story structure could comment on that. I'm not that guy, so that could be why that wasn't my experience.

We finally saw it yesterday, and to my surprise, it made my wife cry. After it was over, she immediately got on WeChat (China's main social media app) and announced that it was her most favorite movie ever! She's not much of a film connoisseur, so take that for what you will, but I was surprised to bring my wife to a superhero film and have it move her to such a degree. She's been nice enough to go to Marvel movies and Batman v Superman with me, but I think her favorite parts of those films were just getting to sit in a movie theater for a while. She was actually happy to have seen this one.

Nothing against Ben Avery, but when he said on Strangers and Aliens that he liked it better when it was called Captain America: The First Avenger, I was like, "No way, I liked The First Avenger better as Wonder Woman!"

So cool to have a superhero flick that seems to be a favorite for everyone! (I guess we'll just pretend Ben isn't a person for the time being.)

Especially since I think this movie is a great jumping off point for talking about Jesus and what he does and will do for us!
