Thanks, John.  Star Wars was made for kids!  ...which may be why that looked so cool to me. Smile

Iiiiinteresting. Aren't the MOVIES supposed to introduce the next generation as we share them? Or is this a halfway point to the remakes they don't want to commit to yet? I wonder what they think the movies lack that these are needed for?

On top of that, could this mean the main film franchise will only further embrace a vibe for adult audiences as it has begun to increasingly do over the years?

I'm pretty sure this of for the under-10 crowd. There are a lot of limbs being hacked off and people getting shot in all the Star Wars movies. Not all parents are comfortable with their 6-year-old watching that kind of content.

Interesting. So they just want to prep them for the older version?

Does anyone know if there will be a cartoon, kid-friendly version of John Carpenter's The Thing or Farscape? I'd love to prep my boys for that. Lol!

Disney Executive: We've got a huge license and money to burn. I REFUSE to believe we have to wait for audiences to be old enough to discover this franchise as originally intended. In fact, I wish to announce today my intention to create a series of Star Wars sound effect emitters for pre-birth infants. We want them coming out ready and wanting the sound of blaster fire.

Seriously though, if parents want that, cool for them and their kids. I won't poop on that parade.
