Yeah, me too. If it's like this trailer I might just love it. I think they are balancing peril with humor, using a good, serious visual design aesthetic (with VISIBLE magic, baby!), and acknowledging those humorously weird things we naturally think about at some point, like "owlbears" being a crazy weird concept and the mental image of bards dancing and strumming gleefully during combat.

I want monsters! The owlbear was cool, but as soon as I saw the mimic!! And a gelatinous cube, a displacer beast, at least two distinct varieties of dragons.... oh, yeah. I want popcorn and a rollercoaster. If the movie is good, too, that's just a bonus!

It was extremely cool to see the focus on monsters that D&D is specifically known for. I'm big into monsters, so the variety here was really cool!

The vibe I get from the trailer is that it's like an actual game being played. I hope there are a few nods to the 2000 movie and the Saturday morning cartoon.

    New Trailer!!

Well, they are leaning into jokes more than I'd like, but more of them are still landing for me than in the average MCU-anything.
And the stylish presentation and generous helpings of D&D-type monsters/magic/weapons/etc. still goes a long way to winning me over.
Still planning to see and review this in theaters on day one!

Oh wait, this premieres in March while Holly and I are in England. Crap!

Oh. My. Heck. What a fun movie! I was grinning and laughing throughout. What a fun experience!

There are so many Easter eggs in this movie. The one I especially liked was the nod to the 80's cartoon.

Oh that was great! "Bobby's" wig looked ridiculous!
