Now that Henry Cavill is officially out as Superman, and it looks like a full reboot is likely on the agenda after next year (or possibly kicked off in the final scenes of the Flash movie), how would YOU reboot this movieverse? What would you prioritize? Would you link all Movies, TV & games in one continuity (as it sounds like they might be going for?), employ a multiverse or something else?
Funny? Serious? Family-friendly? Edgy? What characters would you have movies for first?

These are just some questions to get the juices flowing, so feel free to share any thoughts on what would define YOUR DC Movieverse!

Blue sky dreams that will never happen because of SAG contracts and other rights/royalties issues?

I'd love to see them lean into the reality that not only will actors inevitably age out of roles but that audiences will want different types of entertainment as the culture and target markets change.

I think the WWE is the best model for this. It uses a very large ensemble cast that allows it to continually rotate storylines throughout the year, focusing on short stories that typically resolve within a dozen weeks/episodes. Every show has an A and a B story, often a C story and almost always a self-contained story. As performers move on, they do the favors for the new blood, introducing and establishing them for the audience. Every complete show is comprised of segments with individual producers. This allows for a continual flow of talent, letting veterans pass on their experience.

In a DC context, you lean into the multiverse, using the Monitors as a connective tissue. Separate creative teams can develop their productions concurrently. Instead of a single, definitive Batman, we would get several expressions of Batman as a cultural icon. Stories could be followed independently but share characters and elements - The Love Boat excelled at this kind of production.

In short - I want a superhero show done soap-opera style, with continuous development and revolving talent.

Who would I choose for characters? How about the Challengers of the Unknown? That's a very doable concept with some serious legs. And they've met just about everybody.
