I'm watching some coverage of the Rev3games Extra Life annual video game marathon event that serves as a fundraiser for the Miracle Children's Hospital Network. My bro-in-law has done this event for at least 2-3 years now and I'm considering the idea of a CGC Extra Life event next year. Does that interest anyone? Or will I be playing video games alone?

Re: Extra Life Fundraiser Next Year?
I have to look into the details and talk with my bro-in-law some. But the basic idea is that you ask for sponsor pledges and commit to playing video games for 24 hours straight. I'm not sure if pledges are connected to your success in the endeavor, but I'm guessing they are. I think it's largely on the honor system, as most participants don't stream video of themselves to be kept accountable (although I think I will try to do a live video stream for myself).
As for how it would work as a CGC event, I'm open to suggestions. We could designate 1 or more "Champions" to represent us, and channel our donations toward their efforts. That's the just the first idea that springs to mind. Any thoughts?
