Star Trek: Renegades

I was doing a little research on IMDB and came across a listing for Star Trek: Renegades.

It looks like an interesting mash-up of terrible CGI, bad acting, and former Star Trek cast members from various seasons.

I saw it a few weeks ago.
It was sadly, not as good as it could be.
The script had a good premise, but the dialogue was clunky as was some of the acting.
The CG worked for what it was trying to do.
Further episodes may prove better.

How do they do this without being sued? I'm really curious.

Bottom Line... it sounds like Paramount has decided to turn a blind eye.

I've been keeping half an eye on the production of this. I haven't watched the full thing yet, but will do so.

Paramount are being really good about fan productions. There are a lot of people out there making fan series. Some say that the best Star Trek being produced today is coming from fans. Star Trek Phase II (Formerly Star Trek New Voyages) were the first, I believe, to gain the nod from Paramount to keep doing their thing, as long as they didn't make any money from it. Not suer how CBS fits into all of this though.

Finally watched the trailer and... it looks rough my modern TV standards. But in many shots better and a lot more compelling to me than any pre-reboot TV eps look now!
