Having now watched a little better than half the "season" I can tell you a couple of (non-spoilery) things:

1. Season 2 is awesome, and

2. I want to be like Foggy Nelson when I grow up.

I think maybe it is time to drag this topic back up to the top.

I'm not a terribly excitable guy. My wife calls me a flat-line. So when I say that I liked DD season 1 and would give it a 6/10 -that is pretty good, not kind of low.
Going into season 2 I was expecting about the same, and the first few episodes did not disappoint.
Then... well, then it turned up the dial. 7...8... brief moments of 9...
The casting on this show is phenomenal. It may be "just a tv show" but the actors put in a lot more than I'd expect.
I've never been a Punisher fan, he just was a ...um... how do I say this without using semi-foul language? He's a bit of an unpleasant fellow with no redeemable qualities.
But this Punisher? Frank Castle? The one portrayed here? Oh yeah, that was incredible!
The girl they got to play Elektra was spot-on. About as close to "stepping of the pages of a comic book" as you can get.
So, in summation: if you haven't seen this yet, you really should give it a try.

Definitely on my list once the entire series is on blu ray!
