check out this Thor Trailer embedded in this news story from Comic Hero News. This movie looks so awesome, and I feel bad for being a Core DC guy and being more excited for this than GL.

Is this trailer really a new one? Thought I'd seen this footage already. Maybe it just shares footage in common with the last one I saw.

My personal fanboy preferences aside, I actually had a similar mix of optimism and concern watching this as I did the GL trailer. Looks like it's aiming to take itself seriously, but the CGI offers nothing new in quality and the costumes, when not in ideal lighting, look kinda rubbery. (Not "Batman and Robin" bad, but enough to make me cautious.)

I'm also hoping that Thor doesn't spend most of the movie trying to get his full powers back. I'm seriously not a fan of comic book stories about the heroes losing their powers and having to get along without them for awhile. Why do they think I freakin' read comics to begin with??

But an article I read online said that about half of the movie is in locations other than earth, so even if we have to deal with a "glass half empty" Thor, at least we'll get some Asgard and Frost Giants!

While I do know more about Thor then I do about GL most of what I know about him is from cameos in other Marvel shows along with the new avengers show and the Marvel Alliance video game so I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. Which could be hit or miss like a lot of other comic book movies

I thought it was great that they gave the agent from Iron man a major part in the trailer. It could mean that he could develop into a full character in future works (Captain America, Avengers, Etc). Also, This movie has Anthony Hopkins as Odin. Not who I would have picked, but I love it anyway.

The trailer brought out some fun elements, but they certainly don't determine who Thor is fighting. (All the geek sites say it's Loki). I'm not that excited about it, I have far more interest in the Captain America movie. But if Thor is done well, then I will go see it on DVD.

I think Thor has similarites to GL, in that the "problem" with a movie is how much cosmic to do and how much Earth to do.

Thor looks like it could be awesome, or it could be a huge mess of messy hugeness.
