But who else feels like we live in the age of the comic book movies?

Saw it, and I am more impressed. I had seen the cartoon Lantern film, and found it to be fun. This one looks like it could be excellent. Though, there's not much presence of the Guardians. But that is neither here nor there.

I do. Though I currently refer to it as the "Golden Age"...

Tim, you rock for posting this. I'm still feeling unimpressed with the CG creature effects (the alien GLs), but lots of other things are looking good, and let's face it, the GL nerd in me is gonna give this a 10 no matter what score I end up posting in my written review.

Its good. Lot of the same footage but a couple new images. It's worth it.

BUT were seeing more of the "good" comic books (IE DC Comics) turned movies. Ive not seen the footing were talking about here BUT a lil part of me was disappointed when I read/heard the GL movie was going to go down the Hal Jordan story line.. I think Ryan Reynolds would have made a better Kyle Rayner .. once again , as always , just my opinion

I'd agree. Though he's recently shown he has the ability to tone down the comedy. So maybe we'll at least get a Hal/Kyle hybrid, which may be what they were hoping for.

A few years ago he was cast as Wally West for a Flash movie that fell back into development limbo. But I thought he would have been PERFECT for that part!

Yeah, I think he would have been perfect for a Wally West Flash, which I heard was supposed to be the focus of the movie. It was sort of about the Legacy of the speed force, with more than just one Flash. But, while at WONDERCON Ryan Reynolds announced that he had been cast the lead in the NEW Flash movie playing Barry Allen...and then said that is was a good thing that day was April Fools because he thinks Fans would kill him if he were a 3rd Superhero.

He did, however, recommend who he thinks would be a good Barry Allen. Bradley Cooper, from the Hangover films and Limitless. While Ryan received mixed reactions from the crowd, I love that idea. I haven't seen Limitless yet, but I heard that it is good.

The only Barry Allen, more perfect would be the one who plays him in Young Justice. That would be George Eads, who also plays Nick Stokes on the only REAL CSI (non of that Miami, New York mess), but I get the feeling he wouldn't want to play something so close to CSI, just adding a costume and some time travel to his crime solving science.

My wife and I have loved Bradley Cooper since his days on "Alias", though we wish he would go back to playing sweeter guys like Will was instead of the pretty bad boys he's been playing repeatedly for the last few years. He'd be great for Barry!
