I don't watch a whole lot of TV shows but here is news on two that I am pretty excited for:

I am a big fan of the hulk, I really hope this turns outto be awesome!

Can't say I know much about Green Arrow, but from what i can tell it look like it could be pretty cool!

They've been pushing the Green Arrow spinoff from Smallville for a while now. How they treat this will make all the difference for me. I was no fan of 9021-Superboy.

Hulk looks promising. But I've been crushed too many times to get my hopes up.

Couldn't agree more on Green Arrow. (Though my mocking comparison was usually "Dawson's Creek".) A more grounded, "muted green" take on the concept could be gritty and cool. (And Hollywood creative types would have the perfect mouthpiece for their liberal social/political agendas!)

Hulk show could be interesting. Here's hoping they'll use a combo of make-up, bodybuilder and subtle size-manipulation effects to create the Hulk. A TV budget CGI Hulk would look even worse than the three outings we've seen for him so far in the movies. (Which I think all look really fake, except for a few great shots in the first two movies when the Hulk was standing completely still and not seen close up.)

I might get kicked off the forums for this but at the time Smallville came out I thought Marvel should have made their own teen drama show and I thought the idea of focusing on the Mutants at Professor Xavier's school could be an interesting story that doesn't get explored that often

You want X-Men: Evolution, a cartoon series that did just that. It was geared toward the teenage crowd in an attempt to compete with Justice League, Batman Beyond, Static Shock, etc. All four seasons are streaming on Netflix, and well worth watching.

As for a CGI Hulk, I've been very happy with the CD in both Hulk movies, as well as in the Avengers trailers. I know I tend to be more critical than Paeter on story points and technical work, but I suppose I'm a lot more forgiving of CG animation.

Actually, I think the source material there lends itself much better to angsty teen drama. As would an "Ultimate Spiderman" tv show. But to my mind, Clark's background on the Kent farm and in Smallville and his upbringing are all primarily about uncompromising, traditional moral values and Smallville was a far cry from being about that. (Not that a show with that theme would have made it on the air to begin with.)

Speaking of which, did anyone see the new animated show "The Ultimate Spiderman" which started this morning on Disney XD? I LOVED The Spactacular Spiderman series and while this one dosn't look as good as that, it still peeked my interest.

I too have been watching GL and YJ, along with the new Thundercats. Sadly, I will be losing that watching enjoyment soon as my wife and I have decided to drop DVR/Digital Cable tv in exchange for Netflix/Hulu plus. I'd stream the cartoon network shows, but it requires a cable service provider logon. Somehow, that seems odd. I don't want cable so I can watch them online. But to watch them online, I have to have a cable provision?

Been in the same boat since November. As stunned as I am to admit this, I haven't seen a single episode of the GL animated series. (But I'm HUNGRILY waiting for a release of the first season...which will of course take 3 years, during which random episodes will be grouped together and released on DVD only.)

I've been enjoying Young Justice, Avengers:EMH [Season 2 just started], Ultimate Spider-man, and Green Lantern...and I've been watching them all here: http://www.watchcartoononline.com/

[Albeit with only minor problems occasionally. If someone has a more reliable and better functioning site, let me know.] I don't have cable anymore, only Netflix and Hulu Plus on my 360.

I don't know -- that website links to other sites that have illegally uploaded the videos, I think. Their disclaimer states that they only link to the videos, and that the users who uploaded the videos have agreed not to upload anything illegally.

In other words, that website is taking everyone at their "word" that they are the legal owners of the content.

Brilliant little song and dance around the law. "I just link to it . . . what? They didn't have permission to put Ulitmate Spider-Man on Youtube? I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!"

Anyway, my impression is that the website is a great collective of cartoons, but the cartoons they've collected are not legal.

Hmm. Thanks for the tip. I'll do some closer looking before I decide to mention it on the show.

A trailer and a clip has been released for the Green Arrow TV show entitled "Arrow." I would rather they have called it Green Arrow instead of just Arrow but that is a small complaint. It looks pretty cool though nothing amazing. Not knowing much about the Green Arrow of the comics, I would honestly liked to have seen the main character to be kind of funny and witty, but still keeping a serious tone to the show, but it dosn't look like they are going that direction. It is something I will still probably check it out when it comes to DVD. It has potential, I hope it's good.
