Darren Aronofsky's "Noah" Empty Darren Aronofsky's "Noah"

So a movie about the Biblical story of Noah is being made with a March 28th, 2014 release date. Personally I think this could be awesome! Ever since the movie 2012 was announced (and released) I've wanted a big- budget Noah and the flood movie and now it looks like we're getting one, so I'm very excited! Now this is Hollywood so they might really screw up the story and that would really stink, but it looks like they want to stick pretty close to the actual account which is what I'm hopping for.

Here is a somewhat older link about Noah but it explains it pretty well: http://screenrant.com/darren-aronofsky-noah-ark-movie-sandy-118928/

And here is a newer link with some casting and some more info on the story: http://screenrant.com/noah-movie-lerman-douglas-booth-neeson-jennifer-connelly-sandy-177021/

    VEEERY interesting.

Despite his apparent interest in being "true" to the biblical account, he may still make some interpretive choices that will poorly reflect the true nature of God and the story. For example, judgment for sin is about as unpopular a topic as there is. Those in the role of judge, even God, are often portrayed in popular fiction as hypocritical, which Aranofsky may project on to the material depending on his personal theology.

Also not sure I get the "Noah was the first environmentalist" bit. If that was among his strongest impressions from the source material, we're probably in for a mess.

One thing's for sure. I'll be anxious to take a look at the comic when it comes out!
