I've started a new series on the Strangers and Aliens blog that is a fond look back at old video games and comparing them to the box art that sold us on them in the store. Only two posts in the series are up, and I do not plan to do it on a regular schedule.

Hopefully it will be a fond look back for you, too.

Man, remember Parker Bros' Star Wars games for Atari 2600? Those were incredible! They did a surprisingly good job with licensed games. Today we consider licensed games to be subpar, usually. But not them -- they did amazing work with it.

This is kind of changing the subject but did anyone ever cut up the old game boxes and turn them into pixels? Or was that just something I did?
