What was the best present you gave this year 2012

Instead of of saying what was the best gift you guys got this year I want to know what was the best gift you gave someone for Christmas this year?

My dad is Civil War geek so I got him a 1865 coin that people would use to buy 3 cent stamps with (my dad works for the Post Office) so i think that was the perfect gift.

I handmade a 2013 calendar for my mother, using a technique that was new to me: scrapbooking.
Including thinking about design and figuring out how to-techniques for making working doors, hidden tags and secret pockets, it cost me about 60 hours while I only had a little over a week to do it. And working fulltime on the side.

(apart from that, I don't have any obsessive streaks at all )
