The Blood Star

Made a star for our tree with my two young boys a couple days ago. My youngest started a decent bloody nose and accidentally smeared some on the card stock paper used inside the star. With all the Old Testament stuff I've been reading for the podcast lately (blood sprinkled on altars, etc) it felt strangely ceremonial. As though we were performing some arcane ritual and creating an artifact of great power with dark blood magic.

So now it sits atop our tree, golden and glittery, but hiding within it the evidence of a sinister ritual performed in its creation. Behold the power... of the blood star!
