The Suicide Squad teaser

Totally forgot that Nathan Fillion and John Cena were in this. Remember how James Gunn said, "Don't get too attached" when he originally shared the cast listing? I kind of expect those two guys to be early casualties. And possibly Sean Gunn's Weasel, though I could also see him survive the whole film just to troll people.

By the way...King Shark is a shark.

Yeah, there are just SO many members of the squad this time that I think we are going to see a lot of horrible deaths. My prediction is most of the "lame" characters will die, one "cool" fan favorite character will die, and as Reed suggested, one of the "lame" characters will stick around and either survive for the potential sequel, die at the very end of the movie, or die in a post-credits scene.

Either way, I suspect this one might have some quirky and dark humor that actually makes me laugh!

But no Will Smith's Deadshot.
I know we knew this a long time ago....but it's still sad.

But good to see Voila Davis coming back as Amanda Waller. She did a great job last time around. I hated her character with such passion (in a good way).

I would personally like to get some bit of dialogue that indicates he is either rehabilitated or in some other way more connected to his daughter now. If they are not going to use him, it would be a nice payoff for his arc in the first movie.

I was just thinking something similar about June Moon. Since Rick Flagg will still be around (at least to start?), I'm hoping he mentions that June is back home or off doing more archeology stuff. There's not much purpose for her actually being a character since the Enchantress is dead; I just want to know that she and Flagg are still making things work.

I just realized that I'm going to miss Katana. After watching the original recently, I realized that I wanted more from that character.

You know what? I'd be quite satisfied with that.

And I agree with Reed regarding Moon. A single line of dialogue is all it would take.

Any bets that some of the unmentioned characters from the first movie might appear for brief seconds of an opening scene only to get horribly killed?

Wouldn't happen with Will Smith, but the actress playing Katana isn't a huge name, so I could see them doing that. (Don't hate me for suggesting this, by the way!)

Here's a neat little breakdown of all the characters in the teaser. It has me thinking that Polka Dot Man could be the sleeper character to survive to the end. Also, it's that henchman guy from The Dark Knight!

I noticed that, too! I think he's a bit of a rising star character actor, so you could be spot on.
