Best Superhero Video game

What do you think is the best video game based on a Marvel Super Hero and best games based on a DC super Hero

I'm going with Marvel Ultimate Alliance(PS2 and 360) for Marvel and Justice League Heroes(PS2) for DC, with Green Lantern: Rise Of The Manhunters a close second.(Yeah, it rips off God Of War without shame, but that doesn't make it any less fun!)

My guess is that the Arkham games are actually better made DC games, but my hand-eye coordination sucks, which means my experience of them sucks as well.

I'm reaching way back and saying the Spider-Man ps1 game from 2000. Sadly, for DC I can only give an unfair comparison and say Batman Begins, because my selection of DC games is even fewer than the marvel branch.

I'm going with X:Men: The Arcade Game. Why? Because I played it. A lot. And I'm a huge Xmen fan.

Haven't played many (if any at all) DC heroes games.

Are we talking, best made or best experience?

For Marvel, my best experience is probably the ye olde side scrolled "Captain America and the Avengers" while best made Marvel is either Spiderman 2 or Marvel vs. Capcom 2.

For DC, that's really tough...maybe a tie for best experience between the old Justice League Task Force fighting game or the newer version Injustice: Gods Among Us. For best made, probably Arkham City, which is only one rung down from being tied with the other two for best experience.

For DC my favorite would be Batman: Arkham City. Injustice: Gods Among Us would probably be second for me. For Marvel my personal favorite is Spidrman 3 (for the ps2) but everyone else seems to like the second one better. Ultimate Alliance is also really good up to the point where you meet the dark Fantastic Four and then I just gave up because it jumped up like 20 levels of difficulty and I couldn't beat it and my friend (who is a lot better than I) couldn't beat it. Captian America: Super Soilder is actually a pretty fun game by the way. It rips off some stuff from the Arkham games, but the Arkham games are so cool I don't really mind. Spider-Man: Friend or Foe is also a lot of fun! It is geared at a slightly younger audience, but I thouroly enjoyed it the whole way through. (My younger brother reviewed it in the SBU podcast a while back.)

This thread has made me realize I have played almost no super hero games in spite of playing lots of scifi/fantasy ones. This is something I'll have to rectify. Maybe if there are fewer of them out there for the PC, that might be why.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle games for NES were a great co-op experience for their time, even if they were impossible.

The X-men Legends games were tons of fun back k when I had a Game Cube.

Have you played Marvel Ultimate Alliance? Same studio, very similar game play. You might really like it!
