Avengers: Infinity War Trailer

Hmmm... A more serious tone for this one? Or is that just the cut of the trailer? Thoughts or speculation? Hopes or fears?

In a severe twist of irony, this is looking, so far, like it might be what I had hoped Justice League would be.
Tone seems in fitting with the epic grand climax, where everything is at stake.
I wonder, though, what will happen tonally, when the Guardians of The Galaxy make their appearance. I think it's possible to use those characters is a less goofy way. The very first scene of GOTG 1 was actually very emotionally intense - before the title came up.

To be honest, I'm pretty stoked about this. Have to make sure I'm all caught up on Marvel movies in time to see this at the cinema.

It does look pretty serious, but remember that the Age of Ultron trailer looked pretty serious, too.

Thanos looks kind of silly without his crown/helmet thing.

They'd better give a darn good reason why Black Widow is blonde all of a sudden.

It's crazy to think about how many characters from so many different movies are going to be all together in this one (and/or the sequel). I remember geeking out just for Tony Stark showing up at the end of The Incredible Hulk while Iron Man was still in theaters!

I thought Age of Ultron was a very serious film. If Infinity War is anything like AoU I'll be very pleased indeed. I think the GotG appearance at the end of the trailer is also going to be the cookie at the end of the film. I don't think they'll have a large part in the film. I expect this will take place mostly in Wakanda. I'm hoping this will be more similar to Thor: Ragnarok than GotG. I really liked the pacing, action, and escalation of that film. I do love seeing all the characters together. Don't forget, Infinity War is only a "part one". I expect we'll see it set up a bigger payoff in the sequel.
