How Did You Get Episode Zero?

Hey Podcast Listeners,

I'm making my way through podcast directories to find places that have my podcast but not the updated feed. Would anyone willing please give a shout out here for WHERE online you get the feed for the SBU Podcast and whether or not you got episode zero last weekend?

Might help eliminate some directories and save some time for me.

So far, I have only checked i-tunes, and their feed has episode zero, meaning they are using the updated feed(WHEW!).

I've been subscribed to the feed using "dogcatcher" for android for just about a year now. According to the settings, the feed is coming from http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheSpiritBladeUndergroundPodcast

I think that's what you're looking for.

Cool. Did you have to update to the new feed manually at some point, or did dogcatcher update on its own?

I believe it made the switch on its own some time ago. I went to update it manually, but discovered that it had already switched over.

I subscribed to your podcast through Zune (using the feed information you provided). And yes, I got episode 0.

interesting. I opened Zune and clicked on Spiritblade. I see Episode 0, then the next unlistened to episode is episode 234: Mass Effect 3 and Illusion Reviews.

Paeter, is that right, because the episode 0 has a date of 9/7, and 234 has a date of 9/15. Just wanted to make sure I am not seeing some strange oddity. Well, I am seeing a strange oddity, but is it an expected strange oddity?

I use the the Zune too and that is how it is for me too.

It was funny before Episode 0 came out when I opened up the Zune program to put on a diffrent Podcast and I saw that the Spirit blade podcast now had episode numbers to the name and I was like Well I guess I did something right with the transfer

Yes, that's correct. I've given episode numbers to all past episodes and am continuing with episode numbers as we go forward. Our "Episode Zero" is a bit like when comic books put out an issue #0 to re-establish the characters and premise of their book.

I'd seen several other successful podcasts create an episode zero and then have it featured on their podcast page for new visitors to see. I'm doing the same thing, although I haven't gotten around to featuring it on the SBU page yet.
