A Couple of Trailers Empty A Couple of Trailers

    The Lone Ranger:

This movie looks like a lot of fun. It is from the guy who made the Pirate movies, so I'm hoping for the same kind of crazy fun that I got from those movies.

    Cloud Atlas:

Not exactly sure what to make of this one, but I kinda' want to see it though.

I will be there for Cloud Atlas, for sure. Even if it's horrible, it will be a glorious, visual mess. If it's GOOD, even better!

    Lone Ranger? Redbox, I think.

Sorry, Ben, I have to disagree a bit on The Lone Ranger. As a fan of weird westerns, I REALLY want to see this one, even more so when you think that the Ranger behind the mask is an ancestor of Britt Reid, the man behind the Green Hornet mask!

Cloud Atlas? I know nothing about it, and yes its pretty, and what looks like a pretty good cast, but I wonder about films that are all visual with no story.

I just hope they don't overdo Johnny Depp as movies (especially the Pirates movies) often do. He's a strong spice and can easily overpower a film.

That's true. Judging from the brief bit of him in the trailer, he didn't seem to be doing his normal Johnny Depp shtick, but this is basically just a teaser.

    World War Z:

I'm not into zombie movies, but this one looks like it could be really good! I haven't read the boook it is based off of, but from what I hear they are not following it very well. If they stick to the drama with Brad Pitt being seperated from his family and don't rely on just the zombies and effects to carry the movie then I would be happy.

A Kick-Ass 2 trailer has arrived, but warning it is a Red-Band trailer, so there is some inappropriate content (mainly cursing and violence, no sex/nudity.)

Also I just happened across this trailer and it looks bizarrely beautiful:

I saw the Non Red brand trailer for Kick Ass last week when I saw the Incredible Burt Wonderstone and was surprised I hadn't heard anyone mention the trailer was out and I follow a couple of the stars on twitter

I don't currently have a link for it (I'm sure you can find it at imdb.com) but checkout "After Earth" with Will Smith. Saw this when I saw Olympus Has Fallen and it looks amazing.

This one does intrigue me and Will Smith rarely disappoints.

Also a teaser to Riddick just came out. I just watched Pitch Black recently and loved it. I have yet to see Cronicls of Riddick.

Just watch parts of Pitch Black while shaking your head in every direction in a room full of strobe lights. The Bourne movies have nothing on Riddick's "shakey-cam". Don't remember much else about it.

I'm actually LESS excited about the movie after seeing this. Lots of obvious green-screen going on. Could still be good, though.

Anyone know if The Wolverine takes place before or after the X-Men trilogy? I think it's based on early "pre-X-Men" Wolverine comic history, but it briefly shows a "flashback" of Jean Grey. Anyone know what's up?

From my understanding it takes place after the trilogy and sets up the X-men: Days of Future Past which is suppose to correct the mistakes made with Last Stand

Whoa whoa wait... There's going to be a follow up movie to Last Stand???? With the original cast? I figured they would continue with the prequel movies and cast members as a soft "reboot" of the franchise. Anybody got a good source for info on this "Days Of Future Past" business? I'm suddenly VERY interested.

Is this going to be a time travel Apocalypse movie?

    http://screenrant.com/tag/x-men-first-class-2/

It is supposed to be a follow up to both The Last Stand and First Class fixing the mistakes of Last Stand and correcting the continuity errors from First Class.

It is based off of the X-Men story Days of Future Past and it defiantly has time travel but the villain is still unannounced, but is being played by Peter Dinklage.

Hahaha...I don't mind shaky-cam if it is done right and I think Pitch Black (and all the Bourne movies except Legacy) did it right. I thought it had a great atmosphere and creepy, yet very CGI, monsters.

Hopefully that will be touched up before the finished product. I'm pretty pumped for this one!

At one point Darren Aronofsky was going to direct The Wolverine. Although I have never seen an Aronofsky film I really wish he stayed on the project. He makes very artsy films and I would love a superhero film with a style that he would bring to the table. The version Aronofsky was going to direct didn't have any other mutants other than Wolverine which I think is a cool idea.

Red 2 looks like it is going to be a good follow up to the original. A few people in my family are huge fans of the first one so I will probably see that one opening day.

Defiantly seeing Thor 2 at the midnight screening, but I am waiting till Iron Man 3 comes out so I can seed the trailer for the first time on the big screen.
