Open World RPGs Empty Open World RPGs

Any fellow fans of massive open-world RPGs?

I just finished the Dawnguard DLC for Skyrim over vacation and now I'm going back and playing Oblivion again, picking up my last save before closing the last Oblivion gate. Playing Skyrim sort of "trained" me further on how to get the most out of an open-world RPG, and now I'm exploring a bunch of facets of Oblivion I totally missed before.

My reigning fav OWRPG is Skyrim, but I'm also enjoying or have enjoyed:

    Oblivion
    Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning
    Two Worlds
    Two Worlds 2

Anyone else like these kinds of games and have some favorite to share?

I love open world games, but I'm not really into RPGs. I love Batman: Arkham City and Infamous, open world action games, but never really was especially drawn into RPGs much. I own Monster Hunter3, a Japanese RPG, but I never really fell in love with it. Neutral

The Mount and Blade series isn't bad, though not your typical open world RPG. Red Faction: Guerrilla is another semi-open world, but it's not really an RPG, more like a destruction simulator Twisted Evil

It isn't an RPG, but another open world game is Red Dead Redemption.

It's basically Grand Theft: Horse Rustling.

Never heard of it. PC, Console?

And I've been told I should give RDR a try, tmorill. How much hand/eye coordination does it require? I suck pretty bad.

Cool! Has a few Elder Scrolls vibes to it but it's also clearly its own thing.

Had trouble figuring out from their site...

Is this game free to play? If so, are there any in-game transactions?

No, sadly it's not Free to Play. Sad

It's on Steam, where you can also download the demo. or if you don't like steam, you can get it off of GamersGate. Either of those tend to put it on sale fairly consistently, if you felt like waiting.

I assume that you can get it from somewhere like Amazon as well.
